Kimmy always knew she wanted to be a teacher and so at the age of 18 she went off to university to study and graduated in 2004 with a BA in Music. She then went straight into teacher training and became a qualified teacher in 2005. She then spent 12 years teaching music in various secondary schools across South Essex and Havering. When she had her two little girls she beganworking for Essex Music Services delivering music lessons to various schools across Essex. She particularly enjoyed working with the Early Years Foundation Stage and has been taking her youngest daughter to Sally’s classes since September.
She enjoyed the classes so much and felt they benefited the children in so many different ways that she asked Sally how she might go about joining the Sounds Right Phonics team - and so the Romford and surrounding areas Sounds Right Phonics Classes were born! Kimmy is really excited to be joining Sounds Right Phonics and can’t wait meet the children in her classes!
